Air France is adding its La Première first class to flights to Boston from November 19, 2026 and to Newark from February 1, 2027. Upgraded Points and One Mile at a Time agree on both dates, and both say the cabin flies on Boeing 777-300ERs. The Boston date is later than the one Air France gave last year: coverage of its December 2025 announcement listed Boston as July 20, 2026.
What Changed
Boston starts November 19, 2026, and Newark follows on February 1, 2027. Newark wasn't one of the four cities in the December 2025 plan, which named Atlanta, Boston, Houston and Tel Aviv. The Bulkhead Seat's report of that plan gave Atlanta from March 29, Houston from July 6 and Boston from July 20.
So Boston starts later than first announced, and Newark is new to the list. If you booked or planned around the July date, check what your flight is operating now.
How to Check Before You Book
La Première isn't on every Air France jet. One Mile at a Time says to search on Air France's website, where flights with the new cabin show the message "Aircraft equipped with the new La Premiere suite," and to look for a different seat map. It also warns that the routes flown by the new aircraft are always subject to change. Our Air France La Première guide has more on the cabin and how to book it.
What to Do Next
If you're flying Boston or Newark to Paris in the coming months, search the route on Air France's site and check for the new-cabin message on your date before you pay. Don't count on a date that's more than a few months out, since the Boston start has already moved once.
