Both Caesars Rewards Visa cards earn Tier Credits, but only in steps tied to annual spend, so a card alone is a slow route to Diamond. At $5,000 of spend a year each card adds 2,500 Tier Credits, the Prestige adds more at higher spend, and Diamond starts at 15,000.

That makes the card a supporting tool for people who already play and stay at Caesars properties. This guide covers what each card earns, how its spend maps to the tier ladder, where a status match fits, and who should skip both.

Quick Answer

The cards help you climb, but they rarely do the climbing. A card pays off when you already spend time at Caesars properties in Las Vegas or Atlantic City, and the Prestige Visa Signature is the one that adds the most Tier Credits. If you hold Wyndham Rewards status, ask about a match before you count on card spend to get you there.

The Two Caesars Cards

Both cards are issued by Comenity Bank. The Caesars Rewards Visa Signature has no annual fee. The Caesars Rewards Prestige Visa Signature has a $149 annual fee and launched in July 2025.

Reward Credits are the spendable currency of Caesars Rewards. Tier Credits are separate and set your status level. The cards earn Reward Credits on every purchase and add Tier Credits at spend thresholds.

What the Cards Earn

Reward Credits per $1 spent, according to Caesars:

  • Caesars Rewards destinations: 7 on the Prestige, 5 on the Visa Signature.
  • Dining, travel and entertainment: 2 on both cards.
  • Everywhere else Visa is accepted: 1 on both cards.

Reward Credits are not a transferable currency like Chase or Amex points. They stay inside Caesars, and what they buy varies by property and date, so check the redemption price before you plan around a particular rate. The 1x base rate is weak, and a flat-rate cash back card does better on everything outside Caesars and the bonus categories.

How Card Spend Maps to Tier Credits

This is the lever the cards are built around. Caesars lists these thresholds for the tiers:

  • Gold: 0 Tier Credits, the entry tier.
  • Platinum: 5,000 Tier Credits.
  • Diamond: 15,000 Tier Credits.
  • Diamond Plus: 25,000 Tier Credits.
  • Seven Stars: 150,000 Tier Credits.

Both cards add 2,500 Tier Credits when you spend $5,000 in a year. The Prestige adds another 2,500 at $10,000 and 15,000 at $50,000. New cardholders also get 2,500 Tier Credits in the welcome offer after $1,000 of spend outside Caesars Rewards destinations in the first 90 days, and the Prestige welcome offer includes an upgrade to Platinum.

Diamond is where the benefits get real: 15% off rooms, no resort fees, a $100 Celebration Dinner, priority lines and a guaranteed room with 72 hours' notice at Atlantic City and Las Vegas properties. Platinum gives 10% off rooms and complimentary parking at many destinations. Caesars says benefits listed for 2026 run from February 1, 2026 to January 31, 2027 and can change.

The Other Route: Status Matching

Card spend is the slow way to status. Caesars lists a tier status match with Wyndham Rewards and another with National Emerald Club among its Platinum-and-above benefits. If you already hold status in either program, read the match rules in the Caesars Rewards terms before you spend toward Tier Credits, because a match can skip most of the climb.

The card then has a smaller job: keeping the tier you matched into. Match terms change, so confirm the current rules with Caesars before you rely on one.

The Prestige Free Night and Credits

The Prestige's annual perks are the easiest value to measure against its $149 fee. Caesars lists a complimentary hotel night on your account anniversary worth up to $300, $50 in slot play and a $100 Caesars dining credit, which it totals as up to $450 a year.

One night at a room that costs under $149 doesn't cover the fee by itself, so use it on a weekend or a pricier property. The Visa Signature has no annual free night, so its case rests on the 5x rate and the Tier Credit step at $5,000.

Don't plan a trip to Las Vegas just to use the dining credit. The cost of the trip swamps the credit.

Who Should Get a Caesars Card

The cards suit a narrow audience:

  • You stay at Caesars properties more than a couple of times a year.
  • You spend on rooms, dining and shows that earn the 5x or 7x rate.
  • You want the Prestige's annual night and credits for trips you'd take anyway.
  • You hold Wyndham Rewards status and want to ask about a match.

Who Should Skip Them

If you fly more than you stay in Vegas, cards earning Chase points, Amex Membership Rewards or Capital One miles are more useful because those transfer to airline partners. If your hotel spend sits with Marriott, Hilton, IHG or Hyatt, a co-brand card from that chain fits better. A card with a 1x base rate also shouldn't be anyone's everyday card.

Common Mistakes

Treating the card as a travel rewards card is the first. Reward Credits don't transfer to airlines or other hotel programs, so flights and non-Caesars hotels on this card leave value behind.

The second is chasing Diamond with card spend alone. Spending heavily on 1x and 2x categories to reach a tier produces little in Reward Credits for the money, so only stretch your spend if the tier benefits are ones you'd use.

What I'd Actually Do

If I were a Vegas regular without hotel status, I'd take the Prestige Visa Signature, redeem the anniversary night on an off-peak trip and put my on-property spend on the card for the Tier Credit steps. If I already held Wyndham Rewards status, I'd ask about the match first and pick the card afterward.
