Provisions by Admirals Club in Concourse A at Charlotte Douglas (CLT), next to gate A1, follows the same access rules as every Admirals Club, so a membership, qualifying oneworld status, the Citi/AAdvantage Executive card, or eligible AAdvantage status on a qualifying international flight gets you in. It's a grab-and-go lounge of about 2,000 square feet, open daily from 6:15 a.m. to 10:45 p.m., built for short connections rather than long stays.
American opened it in August 2025 as its first grab-and-go lounge concept. This guide covers what's inside, who can enter, and whether the Citi/AAdvantage Executive World Legend Mastercard is worth its $695 annual fee if Charlotte is your hub.
What Provisions by Admirals Club Is
At roughly 2,000 square feet, Provisions is far smaller than a traditional Admirals Club. The layout leans on high-top standing tables and minimal seating, so plan on a short stop, not a place to settle in for two hours. Charlotte is one of American's biggest connecting hubs, and the concept suits the traveler with a tight connection who wants a snack, a drink and a person who can help.
That last part matters most. American says representatives are on site for personalized service and travel assistance, which is the real draw when a misconnect is hard to fix at a crowded gate.
What You Get Inside
The food is grab-and-go. Breakfast, served from 6:15 to 11 a.m., includes pastries, snack mixes, yogurt, fruit and breakfast meal boxes. From 11 a.m. to closing, you'll find salty snacks, sweet treats and meal boxes. Vegetarian options are available at all hours.
A beverage station has canned and bottled drinks, and coffee and tea are available too. It's a different product from a full Admirals Club, so if you want a long stay with a proper meal, plan to use one of those instead.
Who Can Get In
American says access to Provisions follows the same policies as its traditional Admirals Club locations. For domestic travel, that means one of three things:
- An Admirals Club membership.
- Qualifying oneworld status.
- The Citi/AAdvantage Executive credit card.
Eligible AAdvantage status members can also enter on qualifying international flights. Check aa.com for whether your status or ticket qualifies, because the rules depend on the flight and the status.
The Citi Executive Card and Its $695 Fee
The Citi / AAdvantage Executive World Legend Mastercard carries a $695 annual fee for new cardmembers as of August 23, 2026, up from $595. American calls it the only card that includes Admirals Club membership, with unlimited visits for the primary cardmember and up to two guests or immediate family members. Authorized users pay $175 each.
The card also carries up to $100 a year in statement credits for inflight and Admirals Club purchases, and up to $500 a year back on eligible American Airlines Vacations purchases. Confirm current terms with Citi before you apply, because the card changed this summer.
Is the Fee Worth It at Charlotte
Run it with your own numbers. Say a lounge visit is worth $50 to you. At that rate, the Admirals Club access alone covers $695 at about 14 visits a year, and any credits you'd use anyway bring that number down. If you connect through Charlotte a few times a month and use other Admirals Clubs on your trips, the card can pencil out.
American also sells standalone Admirals Club memberships, and the rates changed on August 23, 2026, so compare the current price on aa.com against the card's fee. If you pass through Charlotte a handful of times a year, Provisions alone isn't a reason to add the card.
