American Airlines and Delta just launched tiered shopping portal bonuses, joining the United and Southwest promos that kicked off last week. Here's how to squeeze the most miles out of your normal spending before these expire.

The American Airlines eShopping Bonus

Through the AAdvantage eShopping mall, you'll earn bonus AAdvantage miles on top of your regular portal earnings during the "Back-to-School Bonus" period, which runs through August 8, 2026:

• Spend $200: earn 400 bonus miles
• Spend $600: earn 1,000 bonus miles
• Spend $1,200: earn 2,500 bonus miles (the max)

The Delta SkyMiles Shopping Bonus

Delta's version runs through August 10, 2026, and rewards smaller spending thresholds for a similar payout structure:

• Spend $100: earn 300 bonus miles
• Spend $400: earn 1,200 bonus miles
• Spend $600: earn 2,000 bonus miles (the max)

Both are one-time bonuses on top of whatever base miles you'd earn shopping through the portal anyway, and bonus miles can take up to 10 weeks to post. Returns, gift cards, and taxes don't count toward your spending total, so read the fine print on eligible purchases before you assume a big-ticket item qualifies.

Is It Worth Chasing?

Honestly, these aren't the strongest portal promos we've seen this month. American tops out around 2X your normal earning rate and Delta caps near 3X. That said, both portals now support card-linked in-store shopping, so you can hit these thresholds at brick-and-mortar stores too, not just online.
