Virgin Atlantic's Flying Club is one of the most underrated programs in the points world, and right now three of the biggest card issuers are offering transfer bonuses to it simultaneously. Chase is giving 30% extra through July 14, Amex is running several active promos through the end of June, and Citi wrapped up a 30% bonus just weeks ago. If you've been sitting on a stash of transferable points and have a premium flight in mind, this is the window to act.

What's live right now

Here's everything currently active across the major card programs:

  • Chase Ultimate Rewards to Virgin Atlantic Flying Club at +30% — expires July 14, 2026
  • Amex Membership Rewards to Air France/KLM Flying Blue at +25% — expires June 30, 2026
  • Amex Membership Rewards to Marriott Bonvoy at +20% — expires June 30, 2026
  • Amex Membership Rewards to Avianca LifeMiles at +15% — expires July 15, 2026

The Chase bonus is the standout here. At 30%, every 10,000 Ultimate Rewards points becomes 13,000 Virgin Points — a meaningful boost when you're targeting a premium redemption.

Before you transfer: transfers to airline programs are irreversible. Only move points when you have award space confirmed and a specific trip in mind.

Why Virgin Points are worth this much attention

Flying Club punches well above its name recognition. The program uses fixed partner award charts for airlines like Delta and ANA — meaning you can book Delta One business class from the U.S. to Europe for 50,000 Virgin Points one-way, a fraction of what Delta charges in SkyMiles for the same seat. And the ANA sweet spots are legendary: first class from the U.S. West Coast to Japan for around 55,000–60,000 points one-way, on a cabin that can cost $10,000 or more in cash.

Short-haul Delta flights within the U.S. under 500 miles price at just 7,500 Virgin Points in economy. For a domestic hop where Delta charges a premium, that's a genuinely excellent use of points. You can find Delta award availability at delta.com, then call Virgin Atlantic at 1-800-365-9500 to book. Upper Class awards on Virgin's own aircraft start from around 29,000 points one-way for transatlantic travel when you catch good availability — and because Virgin switched to dynamic pricing for its own metal, off-peak windows can offer outstanding value.

How to take advantage of the Chase bonus

You'll need a card that earns Chase Ultimate Rewards to participate — the Chase Sapphire Preferred, Chase Sapphire Reserve, or a Chase Ink business card all qualify. Log into your Chase account, navigate to the Ultimate Rewards portal, and select Virgin Atlantic Flying Club as your transfer partner. The 30% bonus should apply automatically, turning the standard 1:1 ratio into 1:1.3 for the duration of this promotion.

Chase transfers to Virgin Atlantic typically process instantly, which is a meaningful advantage when you're racing to lock in award space before it disappears.

For Amex cardholders, the Flying Blue bonus ending June 30 is also compelling — especially if you've been eyeing business class to Europe on Air France or KLM. The Amex Gold and Amex Platinum both earn Membership Rewards points that qualify.

One thing to watch for

Amex transfer bonuses have occasionally appeared as targeted offers in 2025 and early 2026 — meaning some cardholders see the promotion while others don't. If you're expecting a bonus and don't see it reflected in your transfer screen, it's worth contacting the airline program directly. Some members have successfully had missed bonuses manually credited. That said, never transfer without confirming the bonus appears in your account first.

The bottom line: if you have Chase Ultimate Rewards points and a premium trip in mind — especially to Europe or Japan in a lie-flat seat — the window through July 14 is worth serious consideration. Confirm your award space first, then transfer with confidence.
