There's a stacking play hiding in plain sight this month, and it doesn't require a single point transfer. Paze, the bank-backed digital wallet built by Chase, Citi, Capital One, Wells Fargo, U.S. Bank and Bank of America, is running a promotion that pays you $10 back for every $10-plus purchase you make through the wallet at select retailers, up to 10 times per eligible card. Do the math and that's up to $100 in statement credits per card before the offer ends September 10.
How it works: Link an eligible rewards card to Paze, then choose Paze as your payment method at checkout on participating retailer sites or apps. You'll need the CVV to verify a card the first time, and you'll want to confirm the $10 credit banner shows up before you complete the purchase, since not every retailer displays it the same way. Where it's live: Domino's, Dunkin', Whataburger, Wendy's, Little Caesars, Macy's, Sephora, StubHub, Newegg, ShopRite and United Airlines are all currently participating, though the list is growing. A few carve-outs apply, like third-party gift cards on Newegg, so read the fine print at checkout.
The stacking bonus: If you're using an eligible Chase Sapphire Preferred or Chase Freedom Unlimited card, Paze purchases also earn 10 points per dollar spent through the wallet, capped at $1,500 in monthly spend through year-end. That's on top of the statement credit, which means a $10 Whataburger order could net you both a $10 credit and 100 Chase points. Don't have a Chase card yet? It's worth comparing options in our best Chase cards for points guide before this promo ends.
Worth doing? If you already carry a card from one of those six issuers, like the Citi Double Cash or Capital One Venture Rewards, yes. Ten transactions per card sounds tedious, but most people can knock several out just by rerouting purchases they were already making, like a coffee run or a pharmacy pickup, through Paze instead of a tap-to-pay card. If you're not near any of the eligible retailers, it's not worth going out of your way.
Bottom line: Set up Paze once, use it at retailers you already frequent, and you could realistically pocket $100-plus per card before the September 10 deadline.
