Fox Rent A Car runs a loyalty program, Fox Rewards, that works only at some of its locations. Here's what matters if you're booking one with points or a travel card in mind.
Fox Rewards
Fox's loyalty program is called Fox Rewards, and its points are redeemed as FoxBucks. The program is limited to corporate locations, and not every Fox location is corporate, so confirm that your pickup location is before you count on the points.
Using Your Card's Rental Coverage
Fox doesn't set the rules for your card's rental coverage. Your card does. Chase says the Sapphire Preferred's coverage is primary and reimburses up to $60,000 for theft and collision damage on most rental vehicles with an MSRP of $125,000 or less. To get it, you decline the rental company's collision insurance and charge the entire rental to the card.
Chase says that for New York residents, coverage inside the United States is secondary to your personal auto insurance. Benefits are subject to the restrictions and exclusions in the Guide to Benefits, so read it before you decline anything at the counter.
Other cards set their own terms. Our travel insurance card guide compares rental car coverage across six premium cards.
Your Next Step
Confirm on foxrentacar.com that your pickup location is a corporate one, then read your card's guide to benefits before you decide on the collision insurance at the counter.
