Key Points

  • The A380 has privacy-door suites, an onboard shower spa and a lounge bar, while the Boeing 777 has a fully enclosed suite with virtual windows.
  • Emirates offers complimentary chauffeur-drive to First Class and Business Class passengers, arranged at least 10 hours before the flight.
  • Emirates says its features are available on selected routes depending on aircraft, so confirm the aircraft for your flight before you book.

Emirates First Class gives you a private suite with doors that close, fine dining and, on the A380, a shower spa and an onboard lounge bar. Which suite you get depends on the aircraft: the Boeing 777 has a fully enclosed suite with virtual windows, and Emirates says its features are available on selected routes depending on aircraft type, model and configuration.

The Suite Depends on the Aircraft

On the A380, Emirates describes private suites with privacy doors, fine dining at any time, an onboard shower spa and a lounge bar a short walk away. The shower spa and the lounge bar are A380 features, so they aren't a given on every First Class flight.

On the Boeing 777, Emirates sells a fully enclosed First Class suite, its "game changer." The suite has temperature controls, mood lighting, soft leather seating and virtual windows, which show the view outside on a screen. Emirates describes it as a private hotel room in the sky.

Check the aircraft for your flight before you book. If the shower spa matters to you, confirm it's an A380.

Before You Board

Emirates offers complimentary chauffeur-drive to and from the airport for First Class and Business Class passengers. You arrange it in advance, at least 10 hours before your flight, either when you book or later through Manage Your Booking. A free ride comes with a distance limit and isn't included on every fare, so read the conditions for your ticket.

In Dubai, the First Class lounge has shower spas, complimentary treatments and a la carte dining, according to Emirates. Emirates is upgrading its Dubai lounges, so some may be closed or partly open when you travel. If the lounge near your gate is closed, you're sent to the nearest Emirates lounge named on your boarding pass.

Dining

First Class passengers get canapés and exclusive beverages, and Emirates lets you enter a route or flight number on its dining page to see what's being served. Menus change by route, so look at yours before the trip.

What It Costs

Emirates First Class tickets are priced by route and date, and the price in points depends on the program you use. Our guide to first class versus business class with points compares what the extra cost buys.

If you want the shower spa, book an A380 flight. If you want the enclosed suite, book a 777 with the Game Changer product, and confirm the aircraft on your route first.
