Update, September 11, 2026: the current list, ratios and times
This guide was first written in July 2025. Chase's partner list, its Hyatt ratio and its stated transfer times have all changed since, so this section replaces the older list below it.
Where the list comes from. Chase's Sapphire Preferred benefits page names every current partner and states the ratios. We also read Chase's own "Transfer to Travel Partners" screen on a Sapphire Reserve account on September 2, 2026, and it showed the same 14 partners.

The Hyatt ratio. Chase's Sapphire Preferred page says Ultimate Rewards points transfer to World of Hyatt at 4:3, so 1,000 points become 750 Hyatt points. It adds that accounts opened before June 15, 2026 keep 1:1 through September 30, 2026. Chase's Ink Business Preferred page says the same 4:3 rate starts October 1, 2026. Transfer rules, in Chase's words. Chase's transfer screen says you need at least 1,000 points to transfer, transfers go in multiples of 1,000, all transfers are final, and "most point transfers process by the next business day, but may take up to 7 business days." That replaces the "instant" times in the older version of this guide.
Which cards can transfer. Chase's Ultimate Rewards page says you can transfer points to travel partners "with select cards." Sapphire Preferred, Sapphire Reserve, Ink Business Preferred and Sapphire Reserve for Business each list transfers as a benefit on their Chase pages.
What Are Chase Ultimate Rewards Transfer Partners?
Transfer partners are airline and hotel loyalty programs that accept Chase points. Once you transfer, your points become that program's currency, and they follow that program's rules from then on.
The value comes from award prices. Some airline and hotel awards cost far fewer points than the cash price would suggest, and that's where a transfer can beat redeeming through Chase Travel.

How to Transfer Chase Points to Partners
- Sign in to Chase and open Ultimate Rewards.
- Choose "Transfer to Travel Partners" and pick the program.
- Link your loyalty account the first time, using your member number and your name exactly as the partner has it.
- Enter the number of points, in multiples of 1,000, with at least 1,000.
- Review and confirm. Chase says all transfers are final.
- Allow for the processing time. Most transfers process by the next business day, and some take up to 7 business days, so leave room before a fare you're watching disappears.
Tips for smooth transfers
- Confirm award availability first. Never transfer speculatively.
- Match names exactly between Chase and the partner account.
- Save your confirmation in case you need to follow up.
- Transfer only what you need for the booking, plus a small buffer.

Choosing a Partner
Start from the trip, not the program.
- Flying within the US? United, Southwest and JetBlue are the domestic airline partners on the list.
- Flying to Europe? Flying Blue, Virgin Atlantic, British Airways, Iberia and Aer Lingus all fly there or partner with airlines that do.
- Flying across the Pacific or within Asia? Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer and Air Canada Aeroplan are the names to price.
- Staying in hotels? Hyatt, Marriott, IHG and Wyndham are the four hotel partners. Check the Hyatt ratio your card gets before you plan around it.
Price the same trip in two or three programs before moving points. The same flight can cost very different amounts depending on which program you book through.
Strategies for Maximizing Value
Research first
Never transfer points without a plan. Search for award availability, check the cash price of the same trip, and compare it with what the points would get you through Chase Travel.
Stack with transfer bonuses
When Chase offers a bonus to a partner you were going to use anyway, it lowers the effective cost of the award. A bonus to a program you won't use is worth nothing.
Keep points flexible until you book
Points in Chase can still go anywhere on the list. Points in a partner program can only be used there. Keep them in Chase until the award is ready to book.
Watch program changes
Partners change their award prices, and Chase changes its ratios, as the Hyatt change shows. Check the current ratio in your account at the moment you transfer.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
Transferring without checking availability
Points transferred to partners can't come back to Chase. Search for the award, have backup dates, and know the partner's booking and cancellation rules before transferring.
Ignoring the math
Compare the cash price of the trip with the points it needs, and with what the same points would get through Chase Travel.
Overlooking transfer times
Chase says most transfers process by the next business day, but some take up to 7 business days. For a time-sensitive booking, that gap matters.
Transferring also hands your points to the partner's expiration rules. Check the receiving program's policy before you move a balance you aren't about to spend.
Forgetting about fees
Partner programs can charge taxes, surcharges and booking or change fees. Factor them into the value of the award.
