If you're planning a Hyatt stay before mid-May, you'll want to check your Chase account right now. Chase is running targeted offers for three Hyatt brands that could save you up to 20% cash-back on your bookings.

These deals work on top of your normal World of Hyatt points earnings, making this one of the best times to book a stay at participating properties.

The Three Hyatt Offers Available Now

Hyatt Regency: 20% BackSpend $100 or more at Hyatt Regency properties by May 15 and get $25 cash-back. This is the most generous offer in the current batch and works at over 200 Hyatt Regency hotels worldwide.

Park Hyatt: 15% BackSpend at least $450 at Park Hyatt properties by May 1 and receive up to $70 back. Park Hyatt represents Hyatt's luxury flagship brand, so this offer helps offset the premium pricing.

Hyatt Unbound Collection: 15% BackSpend $375 or more at Hyatt Unbound Collection properties by May 1 for up to $60 cash-back. Note that three properties are excluded: The Eliza Jane, Commune by the Great Wall, and Jinmoa Purelax Lijiang.

How to Activate These Offers

Here's exactly what you need to do before booking:

  1. Find the offer. Log into your Chase account (mobile app or website) and navigate to Chase Offers. Not everyone will see these offers since they're targeted.
  2. Add it to your card. Click "Activate" on the offer you want. You can add offers to multiple Chase cards if they appear on different accounts.
  3. Book direct. Make your reservation directly with Hyatt (not through third-party sites like Hotels.com or Expedia). The offer won't work otherwise.
  4. Use the right card. Pay for your stay with the same Chase card where you activated the offer.
  5. Wait for your credit. Cash-back posts within 14 business days after your qualifying transaction processes.

Stack This With Your Existing Hyatt Strategy

The beauty of Chase Offers is they stack with everything else you're already doing. You'll still earn:

  • World of Hyatt base points on your stay
  • Elite night credits toward status
  • Bonus points if you're using the World of Hyatt Credit Card (9x total points)
  • Credit card rewards from your Chase card (1-3x points depending on the card)

Let's say you book a three-night stay at a Hyatt Regency for $400. With the 20% offer, you'll get $25 back. If you're using a Chase Sapphire Reserve, you'll also earn 1,200 Chase Ultimate Rewards points (3x on travel). Plus your 2,000 World of Hyatt base points. That's solid value from one stay.

Who Should Jump on This

This deal makes sense if you're already planning a Hyatt stay before May 15. Don't book a trip just for the cash-back, but if you're on the fence about dates, these offers sweeten the pot considerably.

The Hyatt Regency offer is the easiest to use since the $100 minimum spend is achievable in most markets with just one night. The Park Hyatt and Unbound Collection offers require higher spending thresholds, but those properties typically command premium rates anyway.

Check your Chase accounts now. These targeted offers don't show up for everyone, and they can disappear without warning. If you see them and have Hyatt stays coming up, activate them before you book.
